Stephen Richardson, D.O.
General Psychiatrist
Stephen Richardson, DO, is board-certified in General Psychiatry and enjoys helping patients from adolescents to the elderly. He completed his medical training at William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine and went on to complete his psychiatry residency at University of Alabama at Birmingham. While at UAB, he was heavily involved in leadership and service groups, moonlighted to treat patients with substance use disorders, and was elected Chief Resident.
Dr. Richardson takes a holistic approach to his treatment and encourages his patients to feel actively involved in their journey to mental wellness. He is passionate about staying up-to-date on current, evidence-based practice. He is currently a clinical professor for FSU College of Medicine and enjoys precepting both medical students and physician assistant students.
Raised all over the country in an Air Force family, Dr. Richardson has enjoyed laying down roots in Pensacola with his wife Shelby, a Pensacola native, and two dogs.
